"Don't try to do too many different things at once, or take on a task that is way outside the scope of your abilities. Instead, use your current knowledge and skills to assist Salma with his goals. At first, Salma wanted us to create training videos for the Togolese farmers that would be attending workshops at his demo farm. I knew that I was not qualified in training farmers, much less communicating technical information across cultural and language barriers that would take years to fully grasp. I understood that any video of this sort that I created would not be helpful, or used in the future.

Also, Salma is extremely passionate and friendly. Ask him questions! I would also recommend meeting over video at least once to establish a personal connection."

You could also build upon his online presence by utilizing other forms of social media. Our ultimate goal was that the website could be sent to potential funders, so finding people who are interested in donating would be very useful."
